Andean/Peruvian Style Bottom Whorl Drop Spindles

Medieval Norse Fossil Mammoth Ivory Nalbinding Needles



Dave has carved these nalbinding needles from fossil mammoth ivory. At the suggestion of some of our wonderful customers who are active participants in the SCA, Dave has tried to create an authentic looking replica of a Medieval tool.  The sizes of these beautiful needles are 3 3/8 inch, 2 7/8 inch and 2 1/4 inch.  These lovely tools can be found in our Etsy shop.

Ash Phang Support Spindle with Turquoise Inlay


Dave has crafted this 10 1/2 inch long Phang supported spindle from ash. Turquoise inlay adorns this beautiful handspinning tool. The weight of this spindle is 1.1 ounce (32 grams).  An additional photo can be seen in our Etsy shop.

Ambrosia Maple and Ceramic Lap Support Spinning Bowls


Dave has crafted these beautiful lap support spinning bowls from ambrosia maple. The ceramic bowl measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and the ambrosia maple base is approximately 2 3/4 inches in diameter and 6 1/4 inches in length. The Druid's Egg Tagua Nut and Brazilian Cherry Bead Whorl Support Spindle with Matching Support Bowl


This matching set of handspinning tools includes a vegan ivory tagua nut Druid's egg support spindle, and a ceramic and Brazilian cherry spinning bowl. Please note that the tagua nut Druid's Egg cannot be turned while mounted on the shaft, therefore each spindle may have a slight wobble.

The tagua nut, also known as vegetable ivory, was beautifully carved by Dave to represent a Druid's Egg. He has crafted the 10 inch long shaft from Brazilian cherry. The weight of this supported bead whorl spindle is 1.1 ounces (30g).

Our originally designed support spinning bowl combines the efficiency of a ceramic surface with the stability of a wide beautiful wooden base. The ceramic bowl measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and the gorgeous Brazilian cherry base is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. The Druid's Egg Spindle and Bowl


Brazilian cherry was the wood chosen for this beautiful "Druid's Egg" bead whorl support spindle and matching bowl set crafted by Dave.  The tagua nut used for the bead whorl has been intricately carved with a spiral pattern.  Additional photos can be seen in our Etsy shop.

Dave has crafted the elegant crochet hook stand, which measures 7 inches in height with a 2 inch diameter base, from birdseye maple. The hooks, which are crafted from wood and bone, range in length from 5 1/2 inches to 5 3/4 inches. The sizes and woods used are:

Ceramic Trinket Dishes


It's been a long time since we added a new item to our portfolio, so we are very excited to show our newest pieces.  Our sweet little trinket dishes are perfect for so many things!  Rings, pins, votive candles or even as small prep dishes.  We created each dish by hand from earthenware clay, and glazed each dish with lead free glaze.  These little beauties measure a little over 2 1/2 inches in diameter, and about 1/2 inch in depth.  Each dish has been signed, and will be shipped in a gift box.  Be sure and stop by our Etsy shop to view more photos of these adorable little bowls.
