Andean/Peruvian Style Bottom Whorl Drop Spindles



Dave has been busy over the Christmas holiday!  The twelve Andean style reproduction bottom whorl spindles were listed in our Etsy shop today.  The woods used are paduak, colorwood, holly, walnut, cherry, maple and birch.  Be sure to visit our Etsy shop to check them out!

Hawaiian Koa and Holly Top Whorl Drop Spindle with Carved Buffalo Bone


Dave has created this stunningly elegant top whorl drop spindle from Hawaiian koa and holly. He has added beautiful checkering around the 3 inch koa whorl and has also adorned the whorl with his signature rose and leaf motif on carved buffalo bone. The shaft of this spindle is holly and the overall length is 10 1/2 inches. The weight of this spindle is 1.4 ounces and a brass hook has been added to the top.

Victorian Design Top Whorl Drop Spindle


This is Dave's newest drop spindle and it's a beauty! The top whorl drop spindle has a burn etched Victorian motif and a gorgeous brilliant red celluloid accent piece. Holly and Celluloid Lace Bobbin


Dave turned this 4 inch lace bobbin from white Holly wood with a "Aqua Blue Swirl" celluloid insert. It is drilled for a spangle.

This bobbin is currently up for auction on Ebay.
