Dave has crafted this unique style tatting shuttle out of Big Leaf Maple Burl. It is about 3 ¼ inches long. He did not want to detract from the beautiful burl, so he only added a delicate burn etched dragonfly to the shuttle. This elegant tatting shuttle has been initialed by Dave. Pear Whorl Takli Maple Burl and Walnut Support Drop Spindle

This pear whorl Takli support spindle measures about 11 1/2 inches long and weights about 1.2 ounces. The whorl was turned from a beautiful piece of Big Leaf Maple Burl and the shaft from Walnut. Cobalt blue celluloid accent rings have been added for a pop of color. Dave has also added a brass hook so you can use this spindle as either a supported spindle or a drop spindle.

Do you need a support spinning bowl for your spindle? If so, please visit the "
Support Spinning Bowls" section of our shop.

Friday

Dave has hand crafted these lightweight yarn spindles based on the "Pear Takli" style spindles. They can be used as support spindles with a bowl, or they can also be used as a low-whorl suspended drop spindle. The spindles above have already sold, but Dave should be making some new ones in the future.
