Handcrafted Oak and Rosewood Spool Knitter


Dave handmade this 4 inch spool knitter and loop lifter out of oak and dark rosewood. He has burn etched an oak leaf motif all the way around it. This spool knitter, which can also be called a knitting nancy or knitting tower, has 4 brass pins that will not rust. This piece has been initialed and dated by Dave.

Acorn Lace Bobbins


Dave has handcrafted this pair of continental style acorn lace bobbins using birch, oak and olive green poplar woods. They are approximately 4 inches long. These beautiful bobbins are currently up for auction on Ebay.

Handcrafted EZ Grip Crochet Hook Size J, 6mm



Dave has handcrafted this approximately 6 inch EZ Grip crochet hook using Oak, and Birch woods with a walnut accent ring. It is US Size J (6.00 mm). This hook has a hand rubbed bees wax finish and has been burn etched with the GMA Cascade Mtn Logo on one side. This crochet hook is currently up for auction on Ebay.

Oregon Myrtlewood and Pine Needle Work Basket Set

Dave has made a very unique tatting shuttle and basket set! The 2 5/8 shuttle is made from Oregon Myrtlewood and he has hand stitched the basket using Oregon ponderosa pine needles, both depicting a Cascade Mountain motif. The work basket is 5 x 6 inch oval and 3 inches high. It has an oak oval in the bottom and a walnut lid center piece. Each has been initialed and dated by Dave, the maker.

Brass Picot Gauge Set with Case





Offered exclusively by Grizzly Mountain Arts! This is a unique set of brass picot gauges with seven size increments, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32 and ¼ inch.






The entire set telescopes inside each other and then slides neatly into this Oregon Myrtlewood gauge case. Dave has carved an oak leaf fob from a piece of ancient fossil ivory and burn etched GMA’s Cascade Mountain logo on the case.

Scrimshaw on Ivory Lace Picot Gauge/Ruler



Another neat little lace tool for your collection! Dave made this little ruler out of ancient mammoth ivory with little Rosewood finger grips.

The measuring increments for picots are 1/16 inch by 2 inches. The width is ¼ inch so you can use it has a ¼ inch picot gauge. The back is scrimshawed with an oak leaf and acorn motif. Dave also carved an oak leaf fob out of fossil ivory and Jo has beaded the fob with garnets. This piece has been initialed and dated by Dave.
