We're Off to Yachats!

You may have noticed many of the items in our Grizzly Mountain Arts and Good Dirt Jewelry Etsy shops have been removed. That's because we're headed to Yachats, Oregon in the morning for the "Crafts on the Coast"-- our first show of the season! We've been busy as bees preparing for this show, so if you find yourself driving along Highway 101 this weekend, stop in the Commons and say "Hi!" :)

Crafts on the Coast

Our last show of the season is rapidly approaching! This weekend, we will be participating in the "Crafts on the Coast Annual Harvest and Holidays Art and Craft Fair" in Yachats, Oregon. This is a wonderful venue for a show and there is always a great variety of artists, not to mention the location is fabulous!

You may have noticed some items are missing from our Grizzly Mountain Arts Etsy shop and from our Good Dirt Jewelry Etsy shop. These pieces will be available this weekend at the show.

A Wonderful Surprise in Yachats!

As some of you may remember, Dave and I are in Yachats, Oregon this weekend for the "Pathways to Transformation" show. Well, the show was going very s-l-o-w-l-y on Saturday when a delightful woman walked into our booth! Anna Phillips, from Tennessee, has been reading our blog and discovered that she and her husband would be vacationing in Yachats at the same time we would be here! What a wonderful coincidence! Unfortunately, Dave didn't have any tatting shuttles for sale, but we had a wonderful visit anyway :)

Anna showed us some lovely examples of her tatting and also a selection of wonderful tatting pattern books and hand dyed thread by several amazing tatters. I wish I could remember all of their names in order to give them all a little "shout out" :)

We seldom get the opportunity to meet any of our customers, so this was very special indeed! Anna, it was such a pleasure to meet and chat with you and your husband! Thanks so much for stopping by to say "Hi!" :)

Wednesday

It's almost time for our "Pathways to Transformation" show in Yachats and we've got a sneak peek of what you'll see from us at this show. We'll have our usual array of baskets, which I'll try and photo soon, and a new line of organically inspired earthenware pendants. We will also have a large collection of Celtic Ogham earthenware pendants!

Home from Yachats!

We are home from another wonderful trip to Yachats, Oregon. Doing shows in Yachats doesn't really feel like work, with the exception of building our booth and sitting for hours :) To the wonderful customers who bought our art this past weekend, THANK YOU! We appreciate your patronage! We look forward to returning in the spring!

Saturday

Yachats Arts and Crafts Festival

We just got our letter stating we had been accepted into the 10th Annual Harvest & Holidays Arts & Crafts Festival in Yachats, Oregon. We always look forward to going to Yachats! If you are planning a trip to the Oregon coast during the weekend of November 3 and 4th, be sure to plan a stop in Yachats. These shows are always great and this one will have 65 vendors inside and on Sunday the Yachats Farmers Market will be going on at the same time outside. This would be a great weekend to get your holiday shopping done early! The show is held in the Yachats Commons right on highway 101 and the times of the show are Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Home from Yachats

Sadly, we had to come home after the "Crafts on the Coast" show last weekend. Yachats is one of those quaint Oregon coastal villages that you never want to leave. The show was wonderful--Violet and Jeanne are always such gracious hosts and we look forward to returning for the November show.

Ready for Yachats!

We've been working fast and furiously to be prepared for our first show of the season. Normally, our season doesn't begin until June, but this year, we were fortunate to be juried in to the "Crafts on the Coast" art show in Yachats, Oregon which is held during the Memorial Day weekend.

Dave does all of the carving, and your's truly, makes the jewelry. I have also been working on some ceramic pendants that aren't quite ready to be photographed yet. Photos of those will be posted as soon as I am finished.

Be sure and click on the photo to get a zoom view!

Monday
