Tibetan Mala Bead Scissor Fob


Jo has made this 5 1/4" long scissor fob from an assortment of rich, organic looking beads. The largest bead is from a Tibetan Buddhist prayer mala. This mala bead is made from Yak bone which has been dyed a deep red and inlayed with turquoise and coral chips. It is surrounded by an assortment of other carved bone beads. The three dangles are made from tiny African clay beads, turquoise tubes and garnets. The remainder of the fob is strung with carved bone, turquoise and garnets. Handcrafted Lace Bobbin with Turquoise and Bone Spangle

Dave hand crafted this 4 ¼ inch lace bobbin out of joined walnut and stabilized maple wood. JoAnna has made the beaded spangle using an old inlayed Yak bone bead from Tibet , turquoise and carnelian beads. New Earthenware Pendants





Jo finally got around to listing some more of her Earthenware Pendants in the Grizzly Mountain Arts Etsy shop.

These new pendants are Celtic, Mayan and nature inspired, and are accented with a variety of Tibetan yak bone, African "vaseline glass" and Tibetan inlayed Bodhi seed beads.

As always, these were made with love on Grizzly Mountain!

Celtic Ogham Jewelry



We've just added some new Celtic Ogham Pendants to our Grizzly Mountain Arts Etsy shop! Fossil ivory and earthenware clay have been used to create our Ogham pendants as has Tibetan Bodhi seeds, inlayed Tibetan Yak bone and African Krobo beads.

Ogham, is an Early Medieval alphabet used primarily to represent the "Old Irish" language. Ogham is sometimes referred to as the "Celtic Tree Alphabet".

New Vintage Tibetan Beads Added to our Cache!




We have just added the most amazing vintage beads to our "Grizzly Mountain Cache" supply shop at Etsy.com.

The Nepalese Tibetan yak bone beads are from a very old mala and are inlayed with turquoise, coral and silver. Mala (prayer beads) are strings of beads used as an aid to prayer and the recitation of mantras in the Buddhist religion. These beads were made by Tibetans in Bouddha Stupa which is in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The vintage bodhi seed beads were also made in Kathmandu, Nepal and are inlayed with turquoise, coral, brass and copper. Bodhi seeds, are seeds from the Buddha wisdom tree.
