Dave handcrafted this 5 1/2 laying tool from a steel point and joined hardwoods. Dave buys various steel crochet hooks and cuts off the hook ends for insetting into bobbin tatting shuttles. Here he has sharpened the remaining hookless end of one of the steel shanks into a sharp needle point and inset it into a joined mix wood handle to be used as a very fine pointed thread laying tool. It has been finished with hand rubbed bees wax.Please click
