Cocobolo and Ebony Tibetan Support Spindle

Created at the request of one of our wonderful patrons, this Tibetan support spindle is approximately 11 inches long and weighs 59g (2.0 ounces). The Cocobolo whorl has been attached to an Ebony shaft. The Ebony tip has been accented with fossil mammoth ivory.

Cocobolo and East Indian Rosewood Tibetan Support Spindle


This Tibetan support spindle is approximately 12 1/4 inches long and weighs 50g (1.8 ounces). The 2 inch whorl has been crafted from East Indian Rosewood and has been attached to a Cocobolo shaft. Additional photos can be found at the Etsy listing.

Cocobolo Lace Pattern Pricker Pin Vise Tool


Dave crafted this lovely pin vise tool which is currently up for auction on Ebay, from Cocobolo wood. It measures 2 inches long, not counting the pin.

Cocobolo Wood Tatting Shuttle


Dave has handcrafted this 3 inch flat style tatting shuttle from Cocobolo wood which has a beautiful flaming pattern in the wood. It has a satin hand rubbed bees wax finish. You can find this beautiful tatting shuttle up for auction at Ebay.com.

Brass Picot Gauge Set with Cocobolo Case


After a break for the holidays, Dave is getting his auction listings back up and running. He's also been having a lot of fun making new friends over at the Ravelry.com site.
Several of you had asked Dave when he would be crafting another of his brass picot gauge sets. This one's a beauty! The case is Cocobolo wood and measures 3 ¼ inch long. The gauges are brass 1/16, 1/8, 3/16 and ¼ inch round tubes that all slide together to fit neatly in the case. He has also added a 2 inch picot gauge ruler that also fits in the case with the tube gauges. More photos of this set can be found at the Ebay auction listing.

Cocobolo and Mammoth Ivory Top Whorl Silk Drop Spindle

This top whorl silk drop spindle is approximately 7 1/2 inches long and weighs 1.8 ounces (50g). This spindle is made from Cocobolo. The whorl has been accented with ancient mammoth ivory, and a brass hook has been inset in the top. Additional photos of this beautiful spindle can be found at the Etsy listing.

Buffalo Bone Small Crochet Hook


This small crochet hook is buffalo bone (American Bison from the Cascade Buffalo Ranch here in Oregon). The finial is dyed Box Elder with a Cocobolo accent ring. This piece of Box Edler shows a mix of blues, greens and natural burl colors. The length is 5 1/2 inches and is a USA hook size E, 3.50 mm. It has been initialed by Dave, the maker. Copper and Turquoise Sewing Needle Case


Dave hand crafted this copper etched needle case and accented it with True Stone turquoise and Cocobolo wood. This needle case is 3 ½ inches in length and initialed and dated by Dave. You can find this beautiful one-of-a-kind piece up for auction on Ebay.
