Walnut and Canary Wood Tibetan Support Spindle with Pyrography
Walnut was chosen for the 11 3/4 inches long shaft of this elegant Tibetan support spindle. Dave has burn etched the canary wood whorl with his signature leaf motif. This supported spindle weights 47 grams.

Myrtlewood and Walnut Tibetan Support Spindle with Matching Bowl
Dave has crafted the whorl of this elegant Tibetan support spindle from myrtlewood burl and the shaft is walnut. He has added oak leaves around the whorl, and they are also on the matching support bowl. The length of this spindle is 11 1/2 inches, and the weight is 50 grams. Our ceramic bowl measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and the gorgeous myrtlewood wood base is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Cork has been added to the bottom of this bowl to keep the wood from scratching other hard surfaces.
Bubinga Russian Support Spindle
Dave has crafted this simple, yet elegant Russian supported spindle from a beautiful piece of bubinga wood. This spindle weights 53 grams and measures 11 1/2 inches in length.

Apricot and Pau Ferro Tibetan Support Spindle with Pyrography
Dave has adorned the beautiful apricot whorl of this 11 1/2 inch Tibetan support spindle with his signature leaf motif. The shaft was crafted from pau ferro and the weight of this spindle is 49 grams.

Padauk Russian Spindle and Support Bowl Set
This is one of Dave's most beautiful spindle and bowls sets to date! He has inlayed the padauk wood of the 11 1/2 inch long Russian style supported spindle with turquoise. The weight of this spindle is 33 grams. The matching padauk support bowl features a matching turquoise glazed ceramic insert and Dave's signature leaf motif has been burn-etched around the outer rim. Cherry and Chechen Tibetan Support Spindle
Dave has crafted the whorl of this elegant Tibetan supported spindle from chechen wood. Chechen is also known as Caribbean rosewood. The cherry shaft measures 11 1/2 inches long, and the weight of this beautiful handspinning tool is 50 grams. Additional photos can be found in our Etsy shop.

New Spindles and Bowl
This group of handspinning tools was recently completed for one of our wonderful patrons. The unique spindle at the bottom of the photo features pyrographed shamrocks on it's birch shaft. The walnut whorl has Dave's detailed leaf motif, and this particular spindle can be used as either a top or bottom whorl drop spindle. The walnut spindle in the middle has a delightful shamrock motif that has been created using turquoise and pipestone inlay. Last, but certainly not least, is the gorgeous supported Tibetan spindle which was crafted from koa and birdseye maple, and it's matching birdseye maple bowl. The support spinning bowl has an earthy green earthenware ceramic insert.
