Cascade Collection Tatting Shuttle
Dave has recently added an airbrush system to his studio, and as such has added a new line of tatting shuttles he is calling his Cascade Collection. Three of these new tatting shuttles are on the way to our Etsy shop.
Dave was inspired by the Fernware shuttles made in Mauchline, Scotland during the 19th century. The unique shuttles, sewing notions and boxes were decorated by using real fern leaves and other floral leaves in a reverse stenciling technique to develop beautiful designs that were shaped by nature. Since we live in the heart of the Cascade Mountain region and have an abundance of ferns and other floral leaves available, Dave wanted to reproduce an artisan shuttle similar to the antique shuttles once produced in Scotland. His Cascade Collection shuttles will include those with designs on a single side as well as some with double sides. He hopes to expand the collection to include other fiber tools such as spindles and spool knitters.

GMA Product Photos
Blogger seems to be having an issue with their photo service, and all of our photos are missing. We are hoping this is a temporary technical problem since we have ten years of product photos posted here. If you would like to see our portfolio of fiber art tools and jewelry, please visit our Flickr gallery.

New Ceramic Pendants on Etsy!
Just when we thought we had found the last stash of ceramic pendants, we found some more! In this latest stash there are several of our original Celtic Druid's Egg© pendants, one of our original design Buckquoy Blessing Stone© pendants and one remaining Norse rune pendant. These will be the last earthenware pendants I will have for sale as I am no longer making these. You can view the pendants currently for sale by visiting our Etsy shop. For our newer customers, I used to sell my earthenware pendants on Etsy as "Good Dirt Jewelry", but I decided several years ago to combine my shop with Dave's.

New Handspinning Tools on Etsy
We will have an update to our Etsy shop tomorrow, Monday, at 2pm Pacific time that will include a carved moose antler spindle, four alternative ivory spindles and an acorn spindle. If our unreliable internet goes down we will post the new spindles as soon as possible. We are trying to get some last minute camping, fishing and other fun things like house painting done before winter arrives and this just works best for us. Until further notice, we will only be posting new items on Mondays.
