Walnut and Tiger Maple Top Whorl Drop Spindle with Pyrography


Walnut and tiger maple are the woods chosen by Dave for this beautiful drop spindle. He has used pyrography (burn etching) to adorn the notched 2 1/2 inch walnut whorl with his signature leaf motif. The overall length of the tiger maple shaft, including the brass hook, is 10 inches and the weight is 1.1 ounce.

Walnut and Canary Wood Tibetan Support Spindle with Pyrography


Walnut was chosen for the 11 3/4 inches long shaft of this elegant Tibetan support spindle. Dave has burn etched the canary wood whorl with his signature leaf motif. This supported spindle weights 47 grams.

Hard Maple and Purpleheart Top Whorl Drop Spindle with Pyrography


Dave's signature leaf motif has been burn etched around the edges of the notched hard maple whorl of this beautiful drop spindle. The top of the whorl has been adorned with his rose and leaf motif. The overall length of this spindle is 9 inches, and it weights 1.3 ounces. A brass hook has been added to the purpleheart shaft.

Myrtlewood and Walnut Tibetan Support Spindle with Matching Bowl


Dave has crafted the whorl of this elegant Tibetan support spindle from myrtlewood burl and the shaft is walnut. He has added oak leaves around the whorl, and they are also on the matching support bowl. The length of this spindle is 11 1/2 inches, and the weight is 50 grams.
Our ceramic bowl measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and the gorgeous myrtlewood wood base is 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Cork has been added to the bottom of this bowl to keep the wood from scratching other hard surfaces.

Medieval Norse Fossil Mammoth Ivory Nalbinding Needle


Dave has carved this 4 1/2 inch nalbinding needle from fossil mammoth ivory. At the suggestion of some of our wonderful customers who are active participants in the SCA, Dave has tried to create an authentic looking replica of a Medieval tool.

Padauk Russian Spindle and Support Bowl Set


This is one of Dave's most beautiful spindle and bowls sets to date! He has inlayed the padauk wood of the 11 1/2 inch long Russian style supported spindle with turquoise. The weight of this spindle is 33 grams. The matching padauk support bowl features a matching turquoise glazed ceramic insert and Dave's signature leaf motif has been burn-etched around the outer rim.
